Staying in the home you love should not mean fighting your own bathroom. We rebuild showers and floors so they are safer to use for decades: no curb to step over, tile that grips when wet, a bench where you need one, and solid backing for every grab bar. Every aging in place shower starts with a full tear out down to the studs. We set blocking where grab bars will go before the walls close, build the floor with a Wedi curbless shower system and a linear drain so water stays in the shower without a curb, and choose floor tile rated for wet traction (DCOF 0.42 or higher). Plumbing changes are handled by a licensed plumber.
This tile shower has a low threshold, a linear drain, and a tiled bench. It is not a curbless shower.
